Kinesiology Sessions
What is it?
Kinesiology is a modality of emotional and physical therapy that uses a muscle monitoring technique designed to interface with your body to tap into your subconscious mind and begin to communicate with the stress and trauma within the body and help alleviate and balance you.
Emotions are created through hormones - chemical and electrical charges in the brain and body. Stress is a powerful charge and when not released in a healthy and appropriate manner accumulates in the cells of the body, often at the furthers points from our vital organs – our limbs and joints.
Our body stores these unresolved stresses, which are often negative emotions and traumas as a way for us to keep functioning in stressful environments and situations.
Ideally, when we are out of a stressful environment or situation, we can then unpack and process these stored emotions to let them go. However, we often don’t leave or remove ourselves from stressful environments and situations and our emotional and traumatic stresses build up in the body.
Eventually over time these stored and continually building unresolved emotional and traumatic stresses create physical diseases and reactions throughout our physical body. Usually, our joints are the first to go because of the physical toll the stress takes on moving parts. As the stress keeps accumulating it starts making its way back to the centre of the body and starts to affect our vital organs in unique and strange ways or we develop recurring injuries or issues that seem to come and go without warning. In extreme cases, these emotional stresses manifest as serious illnesses and diseases.
As kinesiologists we believe that the root cause of a lot of these issues is around unresolved emotional and traumatic stress within the body and mind.
What can it do for me?
Kinesiology helps to alleviate and balance these stresses by gently and subtly releasing them and helping you to reprogram your mental response around stressful and traumatic situations.
Kinesiology is great for physical pain throughout the body, emotional situations, trauma relief and mental clarity and resilience.
It’s not a cure all and is a complimentary modality to more traditional methods of therapy, having a powerful impact on boosting the effectiveness of those more traditional and medical therapies.
